Epilepsy

Do you need a medical bracelet for epilepsy?

If you or your loved one is living with epilepsy, it's a good idea to wear medical alert jewellery
to make others aware of your condition. This could be extremely important in the event of a
seizure or other emergency situation. Not only does the jewellery let responders know you
have epilepsy, it can also advise them of other vital information, speaking for you when you
can’t.
We have a wide variety of epilepsy jewellery. Our stylish bracelets and necklaces can
display your name, medical condition, ICE number, and details of any medication you're
taking. All prices include free engraving and free UK mainland delivery.
Our jewellery features the medical alert symbol that's instantly recognisable to medical
personnel and first responders. This means they can obtain crucial information quickly and
efficiently in an emergency.

What do you put on an epilepsy medical bracelet?

It is always best to consult with your doctor or specialist to decide what to engrave on your epilepsy medical ID. In the event that this is not possible, we have taken advice from the lovely doctors at Concierge Medical (the multi award-winning private GP service for the Cotswolds and surrounding areas) and recommend the following:

As a minimum, you should put the following on your diabetes medical ID:

  • Your epilepsy diagnosis.

  • Any epilepsy medications you take, such as antiepileptic drugs (AEDs).

  • Your primary ICE (in case of emergency) number.

You may also want to include the following:

  • Your name.

  • Any other severe medical conditions (including allergies).

  • Any other medications you may be on.

  • “See medical card” (if you choose to carry a medical ID card in your phone case or wallet).

If you choose a medical id bracelet that can be engraved on both the front and the back, we recommend that you engrave your medical information on the front and your personal information (name and ICE) on the back.

General advice on engraving:

  • information should relate to conditions not otherwise discoverable by examination of an unconscious or incapacitated patient.

  • Important medications should be listed.

  • Information should be relevant to life-saving or emergency treatment.

  • Avoid using general terms, e.g. “Allergies: bee stings, nuts” is much more useful than just “Allergies”.

Epilepsy Wristbands

Our comfortable, high-quality Silicone wristbands are a simple way to carry medical details. They come in several smart colours, and we can personalise your band with two lines of text. Display your name, medical data and ICE number with ease.

Epilepsy wristbands are strong, durable, waterproof and flexible – so they're ideal to wear on a day–to-day basis.

We also offer smaller wristbands designed for children and toddlers. Our fabric children's medical wristbands are an ideal choice as the comfy strap can be adjusted to suit your little one's wrist.

Epilepsy Bracelets

If you'd prefer something a little smarter, we have plenty of stunning bracelets designed for men, women and children.

Our pure links titanium bracelets are super-stylish. We also have a vast range of beautiful, beaded bracelets.

For men, our quality stainless steel chain bracelets or leather watch style bracelets are the ideal choice and we can offer crisp and clear engraving for your medical details.

Epilepsy Necklaces

If necklaces are more your style, be sure to check out our epilepsy dog tags, offering a subtle and stylish way to display important data. Choose from brushed steel or coloured designs created for men and women.

Our SOS talisman necklaces are also a convenient way of keeping details of your condition with you at all times. Keep your data safely tucked away inside the unique pendant.

Medicine bags and ID Cards

If you regularly carry epilepsy medication, our medicine bags and carry cases are perfect for keeping your medication safe. They're also great for travelling and when you go on holiday.

As well as your epilepsy alert jewellery, it's also a good idea to have a medical ID card for your wallet or phone. This allows you to carry more detailed information with you, such as your address and NHS number. If you purchase one of our ID cards alongside a necklace or bracelet, we normally advise having 'see medical card' engraved on your chosen piece of jewellery.
